Jamie & Mike 


Jamie and Mike were married at Belk Chapel in Charlotte, N.C on a cloudy day in May with a few light rain showers that never interfered with the wedding day. The overcast sky allowed for some amazing photos as the sun was setting that evening by the fountains in front of the Wachovia building in downtown Charlotte (where the couple’s reception took place). The architecture of the building along with Jamie’s color choices, the decorations, cake, and flowers made a serious statement. Vases of all different shapes and sizes backlit by candles, holding hundreds of different varieties of flowers were meticulously placed through out the room. The day before the wedding Jamie’s father injured his foot and was unable to walk Jamie down the isle. However a close family friend stepped in to walk the bride down the isle to her father. She held her father’s hand as he gave his blessings to she and Mike before taking their vows. Jamie’s father than gave a touching and funny speech at the reception. The band played as friends and family shared in an evening that was just perfect. I have to add one more detail, there was a real “wedding crasher” that attended the reception! I actually figured out that he was not a guest and Jamie asked me to take a photo of him for her album, it was hilarious!
